SCI has designated donation channels for Eid Al-Adha.

Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has intensified its digital advancement by installing four smart donation screens at Sahara Mall, Mega Mall, 06 Mall, and the University of Sharjah Hospital. Additionally, they plan to introduce 22 more devices in various locations by the next Ramadan. Mohammed Rashid bin Bayat, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, emphasized that these new donation screens are fully smart, offering flexibility and convenience to donors as an alternative to traditional methods.

These screens feature a wide array of easy donation options, including Apple Pay and Samsung Pay for mobile phones, self-scanning donation codes, and the ability to donate via credit cards. Bayat noted that 100 donation boxes have been allocated for placement in mosques and public areas, out of a total of 8205 boxes throughout the year. These boxes come in various sizes to accommodate different locations and demographics. Additionally, 100 volunteers have been selected for collecting donations during Friday prayers, emphasizing their reliability and trustworthiness.

Bayat highlighted SCI’s provision of 180 manual donation devices for various designated donations, allowing donors to choose their preferred donation amount. SCI also offers donation tables for electronic coupon donations at malls, shops, cooperative societies, and shopping centers across Sharjah. The concept of electronic coupons has garnered significant donor engagement due to its secure and efficient systems linked directly to SCI headquarters. Moreover, SCI has installed 592 safes inside mosques to receive donations from worshipers, in collaboration with the Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department.

In addition to donation boxes and coupons, SCI accepts donations through its website, text messages, smart links, credit cards, bank accounts, and its call center (80014). Bayat encouraged donors to utilize the available channels that suit them best to support SCI’s campaigns, particularly during Ramadan. He also revealed that SCI is in the process of launching a mobile application, along with a new website, expected to be announced by the year’s end.
