The Sharjah Sports Club Basketball Cubs clinched their third Cubs Cup title in the club’s history for the 2023-2024 sports season. They secured the victory by defeating the Al Nasr Club Cubs with a score of (66-45) in the final match held on Friday at the Sharjah Sports Club hall in the Emirate.

With this remarkable accomplishment, the team has achieved the combination of league and cup titles for the third time in the club’s history, replicating their success in the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons. This followed their recent triumph in securing the seventh league shield against Al Nasr’s Cubs last week.
After the Basketball Cubs Cup final, His Excellency Ali Al Amiri, Member of the Board of Directors of the UAE Basketball Federation and Director of Competitions, presented the Championship Cup and gold medals to the victorious Sharjah champions. The Al Nasr Cubs, runners-up in the cup, received silver medals. This ceremony took place in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Obaid Al Hussan, Member of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club and Head of Group Games, along with Talal Shaker, Supervisor of the Age Stages of Basketball at Sharjah Club.
It’s worth noting that this title marks the third victory for the youth basketball sector in the 2023-2024 season, with the youth team clinching the cup championship and Sharjah’s Cubs securing the league and cup double last week. Additionally, the junior team is set to compete in the cup competition final on Saturday, June 1st.
