SEWA arranged a workshop aimed at formulating its strategy for 2025/2030, with the presence of Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, Director General, and department directors.
The workshop endorsed the strategic priorities, initiatives, and key performance indicators of the Authority for the formulation of operational objectives and balanced scorecards. Discussions centered on key trends and accomplishments to bolster energy supply security and sustainability in Sharjah, aligning with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The workshop concentrated on assessing both the current and future status of the strategy while exploring available opportunities. It reviewed progress in achieving goals, identified areas for enhancing existing initiatives, introduced new initiatives, presented innovative ideas, and evaluated proposed solutions.
Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority, reiterated the Authority’s dedication to continual development and collaboration with all stakeholders. He stressed the commitment to delivering top-notch services to the residents of Sharjah, promoting sustainability, conserving resources, and ensuring their optimal utilization.
In conclusion, Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi recognized the outstanding performance of departments in 2023. The water and desalination plants department claimed the top spot, followed by the health, safety, and environment department in second place, and the electricity distribution department securing third place.
